Rhonda Kraeber

Attorney/Owner, Employment Law, Business Law, Civil Litigation

Rhonda Shelton Kraeber has been a practicing attorney since 1991, specializing in all areas of labor and employment law, counseling small- to mid-size business employers and employees on the complex and often emotional aspects of the employer-employee relationship, including wrongful termination, discrimination, and harassment litigation. She is expert in compliance with the many often-changing state and federal laws that apply in the employment context, and in all types of employment-related, legally binding arrangements such as employment contracts, confidentiality agreements, and severance agreements.

“It’s important to me that our clients have peace of mind. When they put their problems in our hands, they’ll see in us unwavering advocates who will help them resolve their disputes in the most respectful, practical, and cost-effective ways possible so they can get on with their lives.”

Rhonda is licensed to practice law in California and Oregon, and has, in the course of her years as an attorney, practiced general commercial litigation involving real estate disputes, contract issues, and corporate control disputes.

One of Rhonda’s many strengths is her passion to debate an injustice. This is what draws her to the law: to be able to argue a case on behalf of her clients who may not have the knowledge, confidence, or resources to navigate legal waters. She recognizes that most people are conflict adverse, unable or unwilling to argue their positions, whether it’s personal or business related. She helps people facing conflict by being their voice, their advocate—by being the pragmatic professional she is, prepared to argue difficult and often personal cases, with expertise and practicality, resolving issues with the least amount of impact to a client’s business and life.

Rhonda has acted as Judge Pro Tem in Contra Costa County Superior Court and as a neutral arbitrator for such organizations as Kaiser Permanente. She has lectured on legal matters to a number of organizations including chambers of commerce and human resources-focused groups, and has appeared as a panelist on programs sponsored by Lorman Education Services, a leading provider of professional online skills training and continuing education programs.

Rhonda is the published author of employment-related articles for a number of group publications, including the Central Valley Human Resource Management Association and Brentwood Chamber of Commerce. She earned her J.D. at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and her B.S. at Oregon State University, and has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1984.
